Veterinary Spinal Manipulation

Integrative Therapies

VETERINARY SPINAL MANIPULATION:

Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy goes beyond spinal care, focusing on the entire skeletal system, its joints, and associated nervous and muscular systems. When motion units do not properly move, the resulting tenderness and pain can lead to chronic pain and inflammation. With the application of VSMT (think of chiropractic care in humans), these motion units can operate more freely, lessening or alleviating the associated pain, thereby improving quality of life. This therapy has the potential to improve internal organ function, as well as promote the body’s own healing capacity. This practice may also assist in uncovering underlying issues that are veiled as skeletal pain. This powerful modality should only be performed by a doctor with advanced training.

Plan for an hour long initial visit: at this time we will also discuss a multi-modal approach which may include Class IV Laser Therapy, targeted electromagnetic therapy, TCVM, supplements, diet, and exercise. Follow up will be determined by the pathology uncovered during the initial exam, along with patient’s response to treatment, and lifestyle. These appointments usually last between 15-30 minutes. VSMT patients almost always appear to enjoy their visit.
